“Life is a long pilgrimage from fear to love.”

— Paulo Coelho

My life has been a long, meandering journey of transformation in the presence of the Beloved.

When I was in fourth grade, my father told me (speaking of Celtic mythology) “These are the stories that tell us who we are.” The Celtic path has given my life direction ever since.

As a young adult, I made a commitment to live the compassion of Christ; this led to three decades of service as pastor for six different churches in five different denominations, where I worked to heal the world’s wounds while cultivating a deeper connection with the Divine.

Today, I am fortunate to have traveled many times through the Celtic nations, finding epiphanies in pubs; prayers in ancient hermit chapels; healing in holy wells; and God in woods, moors, oceans, mountains, creatures, and people of every sort. I’ve spoken at retreats and workshops in Ireland, the British Isles, and throughout the United States. I’ve walked hundreds of miles on pilgrimage in Scotland, Spain, and Portugal.

My spiritual awareness was also broadened by a decade teaching comparative religions at a community college. I've had conversations with Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist, and Indigenous teachers. Inter-spiritual wisdom has made me a better follower of the Universal Christ.

I currently reside in the Western Finger Lakes region of New York State with my wife Marsha and cat Bunty. Together, Marsha and I accompanied two children from birth into adulthood, and we now enjoy being grandparents. I serve a church that is very active in reaching out to this world’s needs; I write books as Spirit inspires; I also pass on what measure of wisdom I’ve attained in retreats and workshops. I walk daily.

The pilgrimage from fear to love winds ever onward.

My life and practice affirms the following elements of Celtic Spirituality,
